Pray for Village Green Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois

Village Green Church is located in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, just two miles from Wheaton College. This year, they are celebrating 65 years as a congregation. Village Green has a rich history, including a thriving puppet ministry at one point. This ministry lasted 40 years and would tour the country for two weeks every summer. Recently, the church organized a creative arts camp outreach during the summer, which was attended by 90 children. Let’s pray the families looking for a church home would find one at Village Green. 

Pastor Jeremy Strauss has shared that pandemic restrictions lasted for two years in their area, causing a significant decrease in attendance. As they work through the revitalization process, they are finding ways to meet the needs of their community. This includes hosting Parents Night Out events, organizing Midweek Coffeehouse times for seniors, and partnering with refugee groups to help meet the needs of families in their community.

They are grateful for the growth of their adult ministry and would like us to join them in praying for more young families with children to join Village Green. The church is located within a four-mile radius that is home to 90,000 people, and they aspire to be a beacon of hope for their neighbors.
