We are praying for Canyon Bible Fellowship in Lyons, Oregon.

Canyon Bible Fellowship is pastored by Joshua Van Vlack.

Planted in 1964 in the small timber town of Lyons, Oregon, Canyon Bible Fellowship serves a close-knit, working-class community where lumber and plywood mills are the primary employers. The church is part of Church Venture Northwest and the Venture Church Network (formerly Conservative Baptists of America).

Though small in number—averaging around 30 in weekly attendance—this faithful congregation continues to pursue gospel impact in their region. One of their key ministries is a community-based AWANA program that they host in partnership with three other churches in the Santiam Canyon. This initiative has opened doors for collaboration and outreach, even as participation has declined in recent years.

On October 30, volunteers from Canyon Bible Fellowship will participate in a community harvest party at the local school, offering a game booth and representing Christ’s love to families in the area.

• Pray that God would grant the elders of Canyon Bible Fellowship a united spirit and purpose for the church’s direction.

• Pray that Pastor Joshua Van Vlack would remain encouraged and be a conduit of grace and hope.

• Pray that the congregation would grow in their knowledge and love of Christ, overflowing with a desire to share Him.

• Pray for opportunities to make Christ known to friends, neighbors, and acquaintances.

• Pray for boldness to take advantage of those opportunities when they come.
